Running for a Purpose

Every registration supports Martha's Village & Kitchen, a Coachella Valley nonprofit whose mission is to end hunger and homelessness in our community. For two decades, this race has raised both funds and awareness for neighbors in need, and it has grown into one of the largest Thanksgiving gatherings in the desert, drawing more than 5,000 participants, spectators, and volunteers.

Participants who take the extra step of fundraising are recognized with a special GOLD bib on race day, a great way to show your commitment to the cause.

What to Expect on Race Day

The festivities on El Paseo include a live DJ and stage, trophy presentations, and an energetic finish-line experience. It is an ideal way to start Thanksgiving with family and friends before heading home for the holiday meal. Be sure to share your photos by tagging @MarthasVillage or using #MVK5K on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Official race photos will be available on RunSignup, and results will be posted on Athlinks.

Packet pickup takes place Tuesday, November 24, and Wednesday, November 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Shops at Palm Desert, 72840 Highway 111, Palm Desert.
