Gastro Grind Burgers is one of those hidden gems that has been kept a secret for too long. Located in Palm Desert on Hwy 111, Gastro Grind Burgers can be easily missed if you don't already know it exists. We are here to tell you that not only does it exist, but a must try! This was our experience at the restaurant.
The Quality
Gastro Grind Burgers prides themselves on serving fresh, never-frozen burgers and boy do they deliver. Every single bite, from the first to the last, was an experience to remember. They carry your classic burger combos but have also mastered wonderful creations of their own. We tried the Surf and Turf Burger and the Asada Burger and they were both absolutely delicious! The Surf and Turf had melt in your mouth lobster with high quality beef and homemade aioli sauce. A truly mouthwatering combination.
The Asada Burger was a fantastic combination of ground local carne asada and chuck meats piled with cheese, a homemade cilantro-tomatillo aioli, pickled red onions, roasted red tomato, and a surprising addition to a burger, jicama. Believe me when I say that this combination was out of this world!

The Sides
Don't you hate when you go to a place and their main dishes are great but their sides lack the same quality? You won't have to worry about that here. We ordered the garlic truffle fries and sweet potato fries and they were on par with the quality of the burgers. Perfect combination of crisp to softness ratio with an explosion of flavor. There were other great options for sides and starters available that we will definitely try on our next visit.

The Service
On top of the quality of the food, the service was amazing! They made sure we always had water, brought us all the sauces we requested, the jalapeno ranch was our favorite, and made sure our overall experience was great. They were also super great with my gluten free request and wrapped my burger in lettuce.
Overall Experience
Gastro Grind Burgers is a local burger shop in Palm Desert you have to check out! The only downside to our experience: not wearing stretchy pants.
